Various castles and places of interest can be visited in the surroundings of Kerkwijk.
The beautifully preserved Loevestein Castle and the historic fortified town of Heusden are just a pleasant bike ride away.
There are three golf courses, riding stables and fishing waters
in the immediate vicinity.
The centre of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, birthplace of Hieronymus Bosch,
is less than 15 minutes by car.
