‘The idea for bed and breakfast Het Paradijs developed during the two-year restoration of the premises. In those days, my husband and I slept in the room that afterwards became the first guest suite. We always loved the magnificent view across the orchard and I wanted to share it with guests. I thought if the B&B didn’t work out, we had at least created suitable lodgings for our future household help. My only two starting points were: the furnishings and décor had to be in my taste and the guests had to receive the care and attention I myself enjoy receiving.’
